Speaking about Rudy Giuliani, there is some interesting tension brewing over his less than conservative-leaning past. The latest stir concerning his affair with his then mistress (now wife) and tax payer sponsored protection sure smells of Clinton, doesn’t it? Only this time the hounds watching the cave door entrance must decide if they are going to bite the cave owner. The fact that Rudy is on his third wife and all the dirt that this involves doesn’t bother us liberals as much. You see, we don’t talk about people’s private lives because it is private. But all this must be eating the core Christian conservatives to the bone, except for Pat Robertson, of course. giuliani_robertson Then there is the issue of Mitt Romney who has been married to the same woman for almost 40 years with a large family but, unfortunately for many Christians, he has a large Mormon family. Oh well, God will sort it out.

A Bad Guy in Every Thicket

Am I the only one who has about had it with fear mongering Republicans. Recently in South Carolina Rudy Giuliani asserted we needed a strong military buildup to counter not Al-Qaida, not Iran, not North Korea but the Soviet Union, errr, Russia. guilianiKerik That’s right, we have not spent enough money on our military apparently and the time since the Cold War has been a reprieve. It is time to really get serious and kick some ex-commie butt. I thought the hero of 9-11 would be focused like a laser beam on killing Bin Laden. I guess Putin is in the way.
