Heck, I would like to start with firing those on Wall Street and the banking industry who created the economic meltdown. And then I would like to see them go to jail like common criminals.

Actually you can fire a politician for expanding government. It is called an election.

And big government is telling business what to do or else if they take government money.

As for climate change I think it would be irresponsible to think manufacturing, industrial and agricultural waste isn't adversely affecting the environment. I'm fully versed in the scientific method. I believe corporations, especially petroleum companies, pay a large role in "fueling" (sorry for the pun) the global warming skeptics. The vast majority of independent scientists (who practice scientific method, by the way) support the notion of global warming. How to reverse the international trend in emmissions is a completely different animal. I for one don't believe it can been done effectively and we will learn its true impact; like we are one big petrie dish.

I am not going to argue the facts of global warming or cooling. The fact is that no scientist can prove the increase in manmade CO2 is causing a change in the global temperature. If they do then they are not a credible scientist. While in college, I learned a thing called the Scientific method. This method is used for a hypothesis to become a theory. When someone calls manmade global warming a fact or theory they are wrong, it is just a hypothesis or educated guess. http://www.sciencebuddies.org/science-fair-projects/project_scientific_method.shtml (This website explains the steps for a hypothesis to become a theory).
Check out the section on test your hypothesis by doing an Experiment. Everyone will show you a chart on how the Earth’s temperature is rising and so is manmade CO2. Therefore manmade CO2 is the cause of Global warming. What isn’t mentioned is that manmade CO2 is not the only factor that controls the earth’s temperature. If that was the case then why couldn’t we add more CO2 to the air in winter and increase the temperature to 80 Degrees. The answer is obvious because CO2 is not the only thing controlling the earth’s temperature. The sun has the greatest impact on the Earth’s temperature. Without the sun all the CO2 in the world will not warm the earth. We can’t have an experiment where we can control the output of the sun; therefore we can’t prove our hypothesis. A hypothesis is just an educated guess; it is not fact or theory.
The question now becomes can an over spent country afford to waste money on an educated guess??? It all depends on who we want to pay for it and who is pushing this agenda.
I would love for you to write an article on the irony of big government telling big business to change the way they do business or else. Who is going to hold big government to the same standards? Can we fire the politicians who keep expanding government and spending our money?

Garofalo is to the left what Coulter is to the right. MSNBC and FOX are the same network, just on either side of the spectrum. I'm in agreement with you over the failure of journalism but fortunately we have the internet and can turn to more balanced sources.

I disagree with you over CO2 however. Of course the the climate is affected by carbon emissions but there are no good answers. With the Indians wheeling out a $2500 car and the fact the Chinese for the first time have a larger car sales rate than the US we are in deep doo doo. Obama will certainly make mistakes. He is not beyond criticism. I think he made some significant mistakes when he vetted some of his cabinet. You cannot have true credibility on cabinet selections when they are avoiding paying their taxes. You are also correct when you say both the government and the citizens have spent beyond their means. Credit Card nation. Thanks for the input. Don't be a stranger on the blog.

I finally agree with you that the far right and the far left have ruined politics in this country. Hannity is to the right as Olbermann is to the left. Their hate gets in teh way of their journalism. The real problem in America today is that people are living outside their means and spending more than they make each year. One of the biggest problem with Bush was that he expanded government and spent too much. Some day we are going to have to pay for all this spending. So in a time when the President ask Americans to be fiscally responsible he puts forth a budget that is not. Two things scare me that is coming from the left and if backed by Obama will cause tremendous hardships for us all. One is the global warming notion about CO2 from humans causing this change. Regulations on power companies are causing Electric bills to increase 15-25% yearly. The second is the notion that this President is beyond criticism. When you have to make so many critical decisions daily, the President is bound to get one wrong. Look back in history and I bet you find one in each Presidency. Therefore it is irresponsible for a network to put on an actress, although I never heard of her, and call all the conservatives dumb and racist. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IeRxVMpyDg

Hatred and ignorance is on both sides of the political spectrum.
